Plant will grow most anywhere and will reseed itself ad grow year after year. Seeds are minuscule and will sprout in sidewalk cracks and such. I have some in a pot and have not had to replace the plants for years due to their reseeding nature. I have to thin the seedlings and they do not start blooming for a couple months into the growing season In Zone 5b.
