This Canna Lily will bloom all summer, it is extremely heat tolerant - loving both heat and humidity. It is adaptable and can take damp conditions, but they are not especially water needy.
True scarlet red flowers top the lush green canopy of this vigorous, highly disease resistant canna that is as easy to grow as petunias. Ideal for warm climates where it flowers like crazy in the summer heat.
This fast growing, vigorous, highly disease resistant canna is as easy to grow as petunias in production. Cannas are ideal for warm climates where they flower like crazy in the heat. Supertunia® petunias, Sweet Caroline Ipomoea and other high vigor varieties are all good matches in combinations where Toucan™ cannas act as a bold-foliage, flowering thriller. Their more manageable height makes them easier to work with in containers while maintaining the impressive floral show everyone—including the hummingbirds—loves.

They are fantastic landscape plants and lend a tropical feel to gardens in any locale.
Maintenance Notes:While deadheading is not necessary to keep them blooming all summer, removing seed pods will likely improve appearance.
In containers an application of controlled release fertilzer should be sufficient for the season, but supplementing with a water soluble plant food starting mid-summer can keep them performing at their best.
In landscapes, the controlled release application at planting should be enough to last all summer.
Water needs are simple and the plants are quite adaptable, even tolerating standing water for short periods of time. They can also take periods of relatively dry soil, although consistent moisture will produce the very best plants.
