And that's enough orange for me. I like orange flowers in my summertime pots, so by the time my planters match the leaves on the ground, that's enough! By fall, I'm so DONE with orange. So, I've grown really fond of an autumnal red/purple combo that may only be for the brave. Don't think of it as "clashing", try thinking of it as "jewel tones, together".

I burst through the door one day after work, blabbering about how I’d had a “vision” of a house paint color that “You can’t tell if it’s brown or gray! You don’t know if it’s green! IT’S ALL OF THOSE THINGS!” and for some reason, my husband got on board my crazy train and rode it all the way to our destination of Cuckoosville.

I'm planning windbreaks and barriers, berry gardens, possibly some new trees too, and the completion of my patio and arbor.

I hate Cleome. My disdain stems from a bad experience back when I was a baby gardener.  In my baby gardener days, I had a tiny plot in front of a duplex (so really I just had the right hand side of the garden).
