Frequent light pruning will produce a full bodied container. Similar to producing a Spiraea like mounding container.

Powdery Mildew can be problematic. Spider Mites are also common and should be treated as needed.

Grower Tips: 

High container soil temps may require the use of shade. In the landscape the plant tolerates the high summer temperatures just fine. Very tough, will withstand acid and alkaline soils, and dry situations.

Finishing cool outdoors will intensify foliage color. -plants will tend to defoliate when dried down manage moisture carefully.
