Upright habit means that this plant benefits substantially from trimming to help the plant fill out the container.
Requires well drained soil
Sales season is longer because dark purple foliage extends season of interest
Foliage will not attain best color under poly; place outdoors for a few weeks before sale for best presentation.
Potting a 2 ¼” liner directly to a 3 gallon is not recommended.
