A fast growing vertical plant, Give this plant a shear to a flat top look and then repeat a few times during the season to produce a fuller plant without loss of height. Normal for Fine Line to have no foliage on the bottom 8-10 inches of the plant.

High night temps can cause some defoliation in container production in zones 6b-7, shading will reduce this problem.
Very adaptable, prefers well-drained soil. No pruning is usually required, but may be pruned in late fall to remove dead or broken branches. Medium moisture, can tolerate dry conditions once established. Attracts birds in the fall. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
