Spring prune early before bud break, In containers prune once when flushing and then again later in the season to even out growth. Do not prune after mid-July, buds set in early fall.

Root rot can be a problem if keep to wet or watered to frequently

Grower Tips: 

Look for continuous cycles of blooms through the heat of the summer, and heavy flowering in the fall until hard frost.

Prefers light shade, adequate moisture, and fertile well-drained organic soil. Part sun to dappled shade is ideal and eliminates flower scorch in full summer sun. Prune to shape and fertilize after the first major spring bloom.
