I bought this plant in 2021 to put in a large container. It survived the first winter and seemed to be putting on new growth but then all the new growth died. The plant then just sat in the pot in partial shade for the rest of the year without showing any other signs of growth. Two days ago, I checked and the whole plant looked bleached and dead. I tried tugging on it and the whole plant just came out of the dirt and the roots were no more developed than when I first planted it. Basically, it never did anything for the two years I had it.

Highly recommend. I planted two on the north side of house that is very shady where I have trouble getting any shrubs to grow. Survived winter in Zone 6.
