Inspired by the bold, expressive style of famed artist Diego Rivera, is another Schismatoglottis in our Art Deco™ collection–meet ‘Rivera’. Each leaf on this rare and unusual tropical plant is like a living canvas. Each glossy, heart-shaped leaf showcases a dark emerald green base, splashed with random splotches of silvery-green variegation. Leaves are corrugated in texture, with small ridges and ripples, which add even more depth and dimension. Over time, ‘Rivera’ can grow up to 2 feet tall and wide, each new leaf becoming a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, worthy of Rivera’s vibrant legacy!

Maintenance Notes:- For optimal performance, keep your Schismatoglottis at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
- Schismatoglottis prefer to grow in medium to bright, indirect light, such as near an east- or west-facing window. They can adapt to growing in lower light, however, growth will be slower and leaves may not get as large. Avoid placing your Schismatoglottis in direct sunlight as it may lead to scorching.
- Schismatoglottis prefer humidity above 40%.
- Schismatoglottis prefer consistent moisture. As such, water thoroughly when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. If you notice your plant weeping or wilting, it needs water. When watering, allow the soil to become fully saturated, then remove from water immediately, as Schismatoglottis do not like having wet feet, and they are prone to guttation, which can lead to soggy and/or browned leaf tips and edges.
- Feed your Schismatoglottis once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized.
- Protect furniture when watering & fertilizing.
- When repotting your Schismatoglottis, use an all-purpose potting mix, with perlite added to ensure good drainage.
