So far so good - lol - this plant was purchased Summer 2022 with the intent to go in the ground right away. My project work on the bed which it's intended for got postponed. This plant arrived in great condition and its still doing well just hanging out with other pots on my porch waiting for its permanent home. The covered porch is west facing and plexiglass covered it sits at the edge of it in a semi-exposed/semi-protected spot. Seems like a hearty little guy. I can't wait to see it in the ground with flowers.

Use as an accent plant in beds or containers (plant in ground in fall if in a patio pot). The variegated foliage and small size make it good for edging walkways and other tight spaces.
Maintenance Notes:Loosen roots prior to planting. Good drainage is essential for this plant; water regularly, especially when newly planted. Little pruning is needed, but plants may be trimmed after flowering. Apply a controlled release fertilizer for hollies and rhododendrons in early spring. Plants in southern climates will benefit from some shade. Plants in northern climates may need some winter protection.
Like most variegated plants, occasional reversions to the original green form may occur. These should be pruned out as needed.
This plant has lots of color!
Bright neon red-pink flowers engulf this compact semi-evergreen azalea in spring. Vivid, glossy silver and dark green variegated foliage supplies the color the rest of the year. This very hardy azalea was developed by plantsman Mike Farrow of Maryland.
