I planted Show Off Starlet forsythia in full sun. Unfortunately, the nursery had pruned it to about 12" when I bought it, so the first growing season it grew out sideways branches in odd directions but did bloom well. The second year, Immediately after bloom, I pruned it low to start over and let it grow in a natural shape. Now in its fourth year. It has grown larger than the stated 2-3' tall and wide; more like 2-3' tall but 5' wide. The branches are long and the blooms on each branch have been sporadic. A couple branches died off completely. I would not recommend this shrub.
