I planted 5 of these 2 seasons ago in a rock covered bed next to the house and they are flourishing. They get some filtered sun before the leaves are on the trees and full but bright shade the rest of the season. They flower in May and hold there color for several weeks and then, the silver leaves provide a bright spot the rest of the season. I also have Brunnera planted right at at the edge of the woods in deep shade and they are as happy as can be. The miracle is that the deer AND the rabbits stay completely away from these and, given that in early spring, there can be up to a dozen or more deer in the yard at one time, that is saying something. I highly recommend this plant. If given proper care the first year they are planted, they will be relatively maintenance free for years to come.
