This is a large plant that will send out long shoots if not pruned to develop a dense body.
Spring trimming/shearing will remove most old-wood flower buds, but new growth will produce blooms if allowed to grow out.
May also be sheared through the season, though bud production drops in mid-summer.
Large leaves may impede irrigation – check crop frequently.
Potting a 2 ¼” liner directly to a 3 gallon is not recommended.
