Good air circulation, control of humidity, and good sanitation practices are critical. Good sanitation practices include keeping greenhouses clean at all times, eliminating weeds and debris, disinfecting equipment and greenhouses as often as possible, and keeping hose-ends off the floor.
High light in production is essential.
Good water management practices are critical to healthy plant growth. Avoid overhead watering late in the day.
Avoid saturated containers, and grow slightly on the dry side.
Using fertilizer high in ammonia content can cause excessive vegetative growth and lack of flowers.
