Shop Until You Drop!

I have two garden centers I hit when I’m on the prowl, either to buy or to get great ideas. One is in the heart of Chicago, amidst skyscrapers and weird smells. It’s Jayson Home. It always gets me fired up with new ideas for containers. Something about the jewel-box nature of this garden shop helps me to concentrate on small space gardening and stay focused on the task at hand. Whether it’s a window box full of Superbells^{^®} Blackcurrant Punch^{^™} Calibrachoa or the ingredients for some elaborate pot (it always seems to have a Diamond Frost^{^®} Euphorbia, I know I can find it quickly and painlessly there.

When I’m in the mood to really steep in it, to soak in it, to get over stimulated til I need a nap… I haul my cookies to The Growing Place in Naperville. Just the trip from the car to the bustling annuals area makes me swoon and also really need an ice cream cone to cool me down. This is where I pick up a dozen Graceful Grasses^{^®} King Tut^{^®} or Graceful Grasses^{^®} Vertigo^{^®} to fill in any empty or sad spots in my garden.
