THIS PLANT WILL THRIVE NO MATTER WHAT I HAVE CUT IT TOTALLY DOWN IN FALL I HAVE REPLANTED IT IN 2 DIFFERENT AREAS OF MY GARDEN I HAS A BEAUTIFUL COLOR. I GOT IT 3 YEARS AGO, WENT TO LOWES TO BUY ANOTHER ONE AND THEY WERE OUT I LIVE IN AN ALL CLAY AREA HERE IN NC AND IT GROWS FINE I NEVER WATER ONLY WHEN IT RAINS IT GETS WATER SO IT IS VERY HARDY. I JUST WISH I HAD 3 MORE OH WELL MAYBE NEXT YEAR

Best in open areas with good air circulation to prevent foliage problems. Will benefit from a good hard pruning as a young plant. Easy to grow summer color!
A new cross between Dart's Gold and Diabolo that flushes an attractive copper in spring and transforms to a rich red in summer. Soft pink flowers line the gently arching branches in early summer. This durable, cold-hardy plant does well in exposed sites. It was selected as the 2011 Cut Flower of the Year by the ASCFG.

Love the color and look of this shrub! Copper color is a highlight in my landscape. Grew well in a hot, dry summer with weekly watering. Soil conditions are not great either. Hardy plant. Can't wait to see it perform its second year.

Have had my Nine bark Coppertina for three years now and I love it, I also have two other Nine Barks in my yard and all are super! Growing very nicely considering that I live in Wisconsin That is a real plus.

After 3 years this plant has developed a black fungus and powdery mildew. I have cut it out, but it is reappearing. After some research, I have found that many others have the same problems starting at 3 years after the plant is in. Would not buy this again.

Plant has not thrived. Not sure why. Could be a problem with air circulation around the plant. Will try again this spring.
