Do It Yourself Network

Proven Winners has teamed up with Do It Yourself Network, the national sister cable channel to Home and Garden Television, to launch "First Time Gardener", a five-part workshop/series that shows everything one needs to begin planning their first garden and to develop a green thumb. DIY network reaches 13.5 million homes.

Jeff Huntington Named President of NENA

Jeff Huntington, co-owner of Pleasant View Gardens in Loudon, New Hampshire, was recently named president of the New England Nursery Association (NENA), a regional trade association representing nursery stock growers, landscape professionals, garden center operators, horticultural distributors, and allied suppliers. Mr. Huntington was first elected as the New Hampshire Representative to the board of NENA in 1983 and previously was voted as NENA Treasurer. Huntington has also worked on the State Association Leadership, New England Nursery and Landscape Certification Council, and is the chair of the Summer Expo 2003 committee, all within NENA.

Proven Winners awarded Silver Medal for new plant launch at Chelsea Flower Show

Proven Winners? unveiled their latest sensational creation at The Chelsea Flower Show in London, held May 20th-23rd. Sunsatia?, a unique selection of seven new hybrid Nemesias, was rewarded with a Royal Horticultural Society Silver Medal. Six of these varieties will be available in North America for the 2003-04 season.

Proven Winners' plants appeared at the 2003 US Golf Open held during the week of June 9th, 2003 at the Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, IL

Ted Ferrell, Landscape Production Coordinator and Mike Sander, Landscape Architect from Clarence Davids and Company in Matteson, IL, contacted Four Star Greenhouse Inc. in Carleton, MI earlier this year to grow plant material for the US Golf Open.
Four Star was honored by the confidence Ted placed in their company and the high value they held for the performance of the Proven Winners plants. At such a high profile event, only the best of the best would be accepted.

Proven Winners To Sponsor Plants for AARP's Annual Event

(DeKalb, Ill.) Proven Winners is proud to announce that they will sponsor ornamental plants for the annual AARP event, Life@50+: A Celebration of You, to be held September 5-7, 2003 at McCormick Place in Chicago. AARP is expecting around 15,000 people to attend the event this fall. Proven Winners will also be exhibiting and speaking at Life@50+.

Proven Selections Partners with Bodger Botanicals

The Proven Winners group and Bodger Botanicals have created a partnership to market many of the exclusive Bodger Botanicals varieties under the Proven Selections brand. Proven Selections varieties from Bodger Botanicals will be available exclusively through Four Star Greenhouse for the 2003-2004 season. All Bodger Botanicals varieties will also continue to be available through their current distribution channel.
